DIKKE
DIKKE has pulled off quite a feat. The rapper and son of a coalminer from Maasmechelen managed to – finally – put his beloved native region of Limburg on the map in Belgium’s hip hop scene. In so doing, he’s also realised his greatest ambition: to become a fixture in the Benelux countries. Mohamed Eddahbi Agounad - your ‘Biggie from the block’ – dropped his fourth album ‘SUMO’ (2025) in a sold-out AB. He works with label TopNotch, the home base of artists like Coely, Tourist LeMC and Zwangere Guy, having originally signed him on the basis of his first demos. DIKKE took the Ultratop by storm with ‘130 kilo’ (2021) and went straight to #1. His Dutch-language laidback flow with a juicy regional accent has made him instantly recognisable. DIKKE has earned himself total creative freedom. The diploma his parents so badly wanted for him – an associate’s degree in transport + logistics – can stay in its frame on the wall.
