Elbow

Elbow is one of the house bands of Rock Werchter. The quintet from Manchester has grown from relatively small to very big within the festival’s embrace. The live version of the sing-along track Lippy Kids even made it to the Belgian charts in 2011, reaching a peak position of 6. It’s been a dream journey, making the band more beloved in Belgium than anywhere outside the UK. Elbow is known for timeless songs with a healthy dose of pathos and a deep sense of warmth. Their secret weapon is lead singer Guy Garvey, a man who could easily have teddy bears made of him to be placed in the beds of small children. Audio Vertigo (2024) is the tenth album from this group of friends who have been playing together for 35 years, and they’ve certainly got the material for a five-star performance. Rock royalty!
