Nia Archives

Jungle was the punk rock of dance music in the 1990s. The ugly duckling that never got the full attention it deserved. The scene has continued to survive underground over the years. And today it is being beautifully kissed back to life by Nia Archives. Her lo-fi jungle is the soundtrack of a new generation. The British all-rounder – she’s a DJ, producer and singer – expands the genre with soulful vibes. It rattles and rolls just like old times. But it’s more pop music than cult. And that’s what she wants. A fusion between jungle and Britpop. Like the collaboration in the nineties between Goldie and Björk. Nia Archives has made a name for herself with remixes for Jorja Smith and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and as part of Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour. The toughest bad girl of today and the standard bearer of current British dance.
