PVRIS

It’s written PVRIS, pronounced Paris. The story begins 15 years ago with Operation Guillotine, a five-piece metalcore group from the Boston area. That eventually shrinks into Paris, a trio that takes a sharp turn into a whole different musical direction: dark electropop with guitar bursts and the soaring vocals of lead singer Lyndsey Gunnulfsen. The group name has to be changed to PVRIS for legal reasons. Their debut ‘White noise’ (2014) was warmly received in both rock and metal circles. The British music magazine Kerrang! even named PVRIS Best International Newcomer. Today, the group has become the solo project of frontwoman Gunnulfsen, who’s shortened her name to Lynn Gunn. Turns out, she’s been the creative brain and driving force behind PVRIS from the very start.
