What happens when a classically trained violinist catches the drum-and-bass bug? That’s the bold and unique journey of Jo Eelen. He begins crafting electronic music with classical elements, first under the name usd (short for upside down), and later as USED. It feels so right that Eelen quits his studies at PXL-Music to fully dedicate himself to his music. And it’s an instant hit. The native of the Kempen region becomes a headliner at the biggest festivals throughout Europe and releases his debut album ‘Night shift’ (2024) on London’s Breakbeat Kaos, known for artists like Adam F and Pendulum. The young producer continues to explore and experiment. USED: Live is a step beyond the DJ set to a full live performance, complete with real instruments, added visuals, and reworked versions of his tracks.
