“Oasis taught me how to write songs,” says Dean Lewis. The Australian spent much of his youth dissecting each of the Mancunian group’s videos. His publisher arranged for him to sit in with the team behind Lewis Capaldi in London. That paid off. With ‘Be Alright’ (2018), the young musician conquered hearts all over the world. This story of heartbreak is a symbol of what Lewis stands for. He prefers to sing about authentic matters that he comes across in his life. His list of hits - ‘Half a Man’/ ‘How Do I Say Goodbye’/ ‘Waves’/ ‘Hurtless’ – is growing impressively long. He introduced his third album ‘The Epilogue’ (2024) in Forest National. Other than his home country Australia, there’s nowhere Lewis is quite as popular as in the Low Countries.
