Somebody's Child is the alter ego of Cian Godfrey. The singer-songwriter from Dublin is considered one of the most promising Irish artists working today. With his four-piece band, Godfrey goes for the grand gesture and powerful emotions. His voice fits perfectly and switches from heartbreakingly warm to icy heights in no time. Producer Mikko Gordon turned out to be the ideal connection to make a first record through his work with Arcade Fire and Thom Yorke. That debut led to supporting acts for Kaiser Chiefs, Primal Scream and The War on Drugs. On the new album ‘When youth fades away’ (2025), Godfrey takes things in a completely different direction, choosing Kraftwerk as a guiding star to break away from too much indie rock, accompanied on this road by producer Peter Katis (Interpol, The National).
