Julia Wolf

For Julia Wolf, growing up in an Italian-American family in New Jersey, music was everything. She had been playing the piano since she was seven and was determined to study at the Purchase Conservatory of Music in New York. But then, Wolf made an unexpected change of course, abandoning the classical repertoire for indie pop. In her bedroom in the Big Apple, she dreams up stories about horror films and the dark and dangerous corners of the big city. Song titles like ‘Hot killer’, ‘Dracula’ and ‘Gothic babe tendencies’ say a lot about her fantasy world. Streaming platform TIDAL named Wolf one of the pop artists to watch in 2023. The reason was her first album ‘Good thing we stayed’, which was recently followed by the strikingly rock-inflected ‘Pressure’ (2025).
