Sam Fender

Sam Fender is a storyteller on a mission. The indie singer-songwriter from North Shields, in northern England, is the voice of his generation. He tackles big issues of our time — fake news, sexual harassment, privacy — with seriousness but also with humour. Ben Howard’s manager saw Fender perform in a pub and needed no more convincing. The BBC ranked Fender in the Sound of 2018, among other promising newcomers. One year later he won the Critics’ Choice Award at the BRITs. Elton John and Paul Weller have come out as fans. Fender’s debut album, Hypersonic Missiles, shot straight to number one in the UK album charts, and Seventeen Going Under (2021) further cemented his status, marking his international breakthrough. His third album has been recorded, and plans are being made for 2025. Fender’s recently announced People Watching Tour, including a show in March at the Forest National in Brussels, sold out within a day. He has undeniably joined the ranks of the greats.
