The Amy Winehouse of Gen Z. The greatest British talent since Adele. RAYE lived up to those expectations in 2024 by winning no less than six BRIT Awards. No one had ever done that before. Her star quality was evident early on, but her momentum was stifled by a difficult record label. While waiting for her breakthrough, she wrote hits for Beyoncé, Charli XCX, and John Legend. After seven years, RAYE finally broke free from her restrictive contract, and there was no stopping her. Her breakout single is fittingly titled “Escapism”. Since then, she has been winning a rapidly growing fanbase.
